Should Dead Matter go up on the Epic Games Store?

From what I've read, the Epic Games Store is planning on opening their store to new games as soon as mid-2019. Currently I've been playing Hades which is still in Early Access and constantly bringing out new updates heavily based on player feedback, much like what Dead Matter aims to do. So the question I'm asking is, 'Should Dead Matter go up on the Epic Games Store?'

Positives

  • Epic Games is new and is sure to put the time and effort which small games need
  • There will be no 5% royalty payment for use of Unreal Engine 4
  • Targeted towards indie game developers
  • The store will even involve a Support-A-Creator program where content creators who get the word out there and refer players to buy the game will get a small percentage of the game's sales which Epic Games has pledged to pay the first 5% generated in the first 24 months.
  • Epic Games has decided to split revenue 12/88 instead of Steam's 30/70 so the devs can use this funding to better the game

Negatives

  • The Epic Games store is just starting up so there would be a smaller audience
  • There are currently no forums on the store site so most of the discussion would stay on the discord but there would be a significant lack of player based reviews
  • Although they're a big company, they are taking on a lot and may get overwhelmed
  • "Missing out on Steam workshop, Steam API, Steam community, Steam achievements, Seam sales, Steam exposure, Steam rating and reviews, Steam forums, ect." Deputy

I would love to hear any feedback people have on the matter and I may update my pros & cons list as people add their own points and views.

I'd hope they go up on Epic as well as the confirmed Steam. Epic tends to do awesome things for their creators, like help with mod support.

The matter has been discussed quite a bit, and the stance that the devs have is that it's not worth utilizing the Epic Store, at least as it is right now and for what they need. While the revenue share is definitely much better than Steam's, Steam simply offers too much in terms of popularity, services, and features. Not only that, but the devs have a good deal of experience with the support services of both, and Steam hands down offers better support as well.

All that being said, the Epic Store is still early in it's launch, and the devs will be keeping an eye on it in the future.

Personally I'm getting fed up of having to install a million and one different game launchers to play my games. Uplay is only just bearable as you can still have it all run through steam (Origin can burn in hell). That being said having choices on where to buy is never a bad thing, I just don't have confidence in Epic's infrastructure/ability.

I agree that they should definitely wait on doing that since atm Epic Game Store dosen't offer many benefits in terms of community. And to be honest

it dose not even have much of one yet.  Having the game on both epic games and steam would be ok but as of now it would not benefit.  And it could segregate the communities.

For launch a new game and have a bigger community, sell more etc Steam > Epic

And to be sure that the profits will go to the developers,  just preorder the game :')

But, maybe Epic come later, that would be cool for all

If it's on Epic's store you don't need to have their launcher if you also sell on steam though, it's just another buying option, like Kmart and Walmart selling the same item, isn't it? I'm using Subnautica as a reference but am not properly educated on the subject so feel free to correct me.

Just like Kmart and Walmart, if you buy the stock from that front sure it goes to the supplier but the distributor still takes their individual cut. T

hen again I'm pretty sure you don't need to launch the game through the launcher. I'm pretty sure you can just add it to steam as a Non-Steam game if you prefer the one launcher.
