Backpacks

Hello,
Will we be able to carry extra backpack inside the backpack to have it in case the first one gets damaged? DayZ didn't have that function just as any other games in this category. It would be cool to be able to experiment with our equipment a bit, and preventing us from doing such a natural real-life thing, doesn't help immersion, where little things like these take away the fun.

I also didn't like when I damaged my backpack in DayZ and could only carry it till I found a new one. Could be solved if they had it so you could at least put an empty backpack onto your person, that took up a few slots, and wasnt able to store anything inside until equipped.

Well, I would guess it would depend on what kind of backpack. For instance, the backpack I have you could not dump another just like it inside of it without it taking up basically all of the room. There is a frame, a belt, and the rest of it. https://www.rei.com/media/cf9edefb-55a9-4bdf-9ab2-beea3caf35a5?size=784x588 You really could not stuff one of those in one of those very well. Now of course there are way different kinds of "bags" that you could do that with, but not many back packs.

You can have sub-containers In your backpack, So I could see you being able to hold a spare small backpack.
ofc there should be something that would prevent having infinite backpack space.

I think ofc means of course? If so, you can't say that. Escape From Tarkov, that touts itself as a hardcore realistic shooter has infinite bag space via stuffing bags inside of bags. Some bags will even fit inside of itself AND have an extra row of slots to store stuff, so technically infinite storage space.

yea I think he's trying to say that they'd want to avoid being able to do that.

John you make a good point about certain bags not fitting into certain bags though.

and I guess to fix the blackhole backpack, you could just make it so backpacks that have items in them couldn't be put inside another backpack. maybe it would only work for backpacks, or containers that are of the same type, so things like first aid kits can still have items in them and be stored in a backpack.

also, I don't know how weight factors in, but if a bag only allows a certain amount of weight, you're only going to be able to fit so much in there anyways.

Tarkov has no unlimited backpack space. Backpacks can only hold as many items as the backpack itself. You can stack backpacks indefinitly but this is only relevant in your stash

Actually they do. Well, it is infinite, but limited. If you put a Beta 2 inside of a Beta 2, you create 5 bag spaces. So, if you carry 3,000 of them into a raid you have 15,000 spaces free =) Beta2.jpg
