Cooking recipes?

Will there be recipes for cooking? Whenever I've played a survival game, I've always wanted to be able to cook recipes instead of just eating things raw or cooking them to eat.

In DayZ I found rice and instantly thought I had to boil it in a cooking pot only to find out I just drenched it. It'd be nice to see a variety of recipes and cooking methods, and maybe even tiers of cooking. For example.. you could make simple dishes like.. a fried egg... all the way up to more advanced dishes like... omelets. Ramen noodles or spaghetti. Fries or poutine. Salads. Milk and cereal. I'd like to see ingredients like flour, and sugar and yeast to bake bread and make sandwiches. Cinnamon buns. Donuts and timbits. Let me take that Alberta beef and make a burger, or a steak and fries.

This is along the lines with what's planned. Simple foods will do the job, but using multiple ingredients to make a good meal will provide more nutrition and benefits.

I think SCUM did pretty good with the cooking. However, I think you guys can do better! So, you can eat rice alone, or Beef alone. But you can make Rice and Beef Tips which is better than Rice or Beef alone. Add in some Green Pepper and it better still, add some Onion better and better. However, don't make it so you HAVE to have the Green Peppers and Onions. It should get better with each ingredient, but not be required to have said ingredients.

Same thing with like say a fruit salad. You can combine as many ingredients as you want and the portions/servings increase as well as the over all boost.

i think the most complete nutrition system is green hell
you have carbs
fats
protein
hydration

if i ca suggest you should something in this lines
Protein (some meat / eggs / beans)
Sugar ( anything that have carbs, sacarose or frutoise )
Vitamins (from vitamin C to calcium)

if you can´t mantain this values you become anemic.

With something in this lines, people need to grow plants for sugas / carbs
hunt for protein, and scavange for vitamins, recipes can have some variation of the tree
like bone broth have protein and vitamin, but low carb. (in real world)

Green Hell sounds pretty cool with where they are at. Scum Inthink might have gone a little too far. Maybe not. I would like to see how this game plays out. Maybe the metabolism could have per server settings. Some as basic as food and water, some in the middle and some like this:

my argument is:
- in scum people do not track their nutrition, they just let they character die.
- in green hell you need to track your food, but is a simple, instinctive system, easy to use.

What argument? LoL. It seems that we agree. I think SCUM went a little too in depth. I think Green Hell sounds pretty good. But of course some would prefer something much more basic like Hunger and Thirst and that is it.

I think options is where the win is. If they can have something as complex as SCUM but allow it to have several lesser settings, that will be the best.
